Is this wise?

How long did it take you to realize who this commercial is for? Why would this company do this and how will it help them sell more products? Watch the video a second time and note how many times you see the companies name, brand, or even products, should they have done a better job placing their product with in the video? Excluding selling more total units, what would be the anticipated long run return on investment? Bottom line even though this is cool do you think it was worth the investment?

This is an interesting idea for a commercial. unfortunately i had no idea what the commercial was for until the very end of it. its possible that it could help them sell more products because people will connect Volkswagon with fun. i think that they shouldve at least put a sign by the stairs that had the logo so that people would know whos idea it was and would probably never forget it. In the future when people are thinking about cars they are going to think of Volkswagon as the fun car company. I think that the project was not worth the investment because they are eliminating the people in the commercial from really knowing what it was for and while watching it no one knows what the fun thoery was for.

i had no idea what the commerical was for until the very end when it actually said 'Volkswagon'. This was a new and creative approach and could possibly be a good idea because after seeing this, people will think of the piano stairs when they see 'Volkswagon' and initially connect it with fun. I think that they should've incorporated the logo or products in the commercial more, for example just in the background or on the stairs so the viewers would know what this commerical is about. Although it does keep people wondering what the purpose of this commercial is by keeping the name until the very end. I think this was worth the investment because there are many things present in this commercial that will now trigger your mind to think of Volkswagon. For example if you see stairs and a escalator, you will remember that 66% more people will choose the stairs if it was more fun than an escalator, which will remind you that this commercial was for Volkswagon.

I didnt realize who this commercial was for until the end. Volkswagen did this in order to give a fun video for people to watch and create a viral vidoe for people to sent to their friends. people will see the logo at the very end and will assosiate the fun feeling with Volkswagen. I only saw the logo at the end. If i were to be picky, I would say i saw cars, but they wern't Volkwagen brand.

Like everyone else I didn't have a clue who the commercial was for and neither did the people using the stairs. Also, i dont see how trying to get people to take the stairs is related with selling cars. This whole thing is probably a waste seeing how more people took the stairs than will see the commercial, and they failed to put any advertisement to be seen. And people that may see the commericail may just watch half of it and turn the channel seeing how long it is. Greg P. P6

I didn't realize who the commercial was for until the end. The commercial was an attention getter, and it made me curious if the people would take the stairs, so I think people would watch it until the end. The 'fun theory' is a good approach to advertising because everyone likes to have fun, and they successfully linked fun with volkswagon. I think they could have had a volkswagon sign in the poster on the side wall that was inconspicuous or had a volkswagon car drive down the street in that scene for subtle reminders of their product. I think the long term effect will be positive as people link both fun and health benefits with volkswagon.

I thought this commercial was very creative, and I watched it until the end because I wanted to see if people would actually take the stairs more just because its fun. However, I had no idea what the commercial was for. They could have found a way to incorporate their logo into the commercial. I think people will remember this commercial but maybe as the commercial that has a piano built into the stairs rather than a Volkswagen commercial.

It took me tell the very end to finally realize who this commercial was for. I honestly didnt get it at all. It was a big waste of time and this wont sell more cars for them I dont think. Fun theory? how are volkswagons suppose to be fun? Again this commercial does nothing for me, maybe I'm wrong, but I dont think this commercial will help them sell cars.
