Like it, loath it, gotta have it? What do you think will be the most popular piece of branded Team USA apparel? Do you think Nike did the right thing by sponsoring the team?

I really like the medal stand outfits. The other outfit i loathe. The jacket is especially well designed, because it is waterproof which is a really good feature for winter. I think that the nike jacket will be the most popular apparel because of its new features like the waterproofing. Also the fact that they are made from recycled materials is pretty neat. The best part about the jacket is that each one has a different design to it so they are unique. I think that Nike is making a great decision by sponsoring the team, because now all fans are going to want the apparel as well. They are also getting international promotion just from having the athletes wear the gear.

i love the medal stand look. it is very unique in that all the jackets are different and the ombre effect is really cool on them. i love the womens hat too cause it has a cool new design. the closing ceremnoy outfit is hidious. it looks like they are from the 1800's. i would never wear anything like that and the shoes dont work with the outfit at all. i think nike did the right thing by sponsoring the team because they are using marketing to make other people go to their website and store and buy their products.

First of all, Nike was extremely smart for sponsoring the USA team. They are getting crazy advertising with this, even more so because it's on an international level and athletes that people look up to are going to be wearing them. However, the outfits themselves are a different story. The medal stand outfits are decent, the fact that they are each unique from one another and being compared to snowflakes is a great marketing idea. The closing ceremony outfits are a joke. They look like an outfit to wear for horseback riding instead of the Olympics. The custom made apparel is a well thought out idea that I think people will be lining up for to get their name stitched into the back of one ASAP... that is if everybody could actually afford a $125 polo to show off our team spirit.

Nike absolutely did the right thing by sponsering the USA team. Since many different countries will be at the olypmics so they are gonna get plenty of walking billboards. This could quite possibly be the smartest marketing campaign to ever hit the market. Nike is goin to get so much publicity from having every USA team member wear their stuff.
