This is wierd, creepy, different but yet I am talking (blogging) about it...so it must be effective. Make sure you watch the "premier episode" located in the lower left corner.
this ad is so weird. every time i see i get so creeped out.i saw the newest one last night and it reminded me of how dumb this ad is. plastic models talking about great prices. there so odd.
WELL! the blond, pony tailed plastic lady's' name is Heather, so i personally love the ad! jk, i agree that it is creepy, but you have to ask yourself.. Why is it okay for the LPGA to cut 5 million dollars of prize money, but it's not okay for Old Navy to cut costs by using mannequins who do not need to be paid? Old Navy has never been a strong lone company (by lone i mean that they are a part of GAP and BR) so maybe this is Old Navy's way of holding on to some pennies when times are tough!
I think that this ad is unique, yeah people say this creeps them out because their plastic figures, but it got peoples attention and when people see this ad, they know what store it is for before the store name is even said. Andrew A. 4
I don't like this new advertising by Old Navy. The whole manican idea is a little weird. It seems to go away from the brand of Old Navy. I guess it would maybe work though because it is new and people will remember their ads more than they would with a typical advertisement.
I think it is weird, but people remember the ad so it must work. When people see the ads they might think that it is new and unique so they might stop at the store. Also when people see manniquins at a diffrent store it might remind them of Old Navy.
I think its creative. I see how people may think its strange, but i feel with the economy we're all trying to save money therefore it relates to people. Old Navy like everyone else is trying to save money. Also, these mannequins are saying were jsut like you which is what people want. The only thing i would change is the commentary. That ruins it all for me!
